Prior to attending  the University of Manitoba to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Dentistry and a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1997, she graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science degree. After practising general dentistry for 3 years, she found that the field of endodontics was her favourite discipline in dentistry. That led her to the University of Minnesota where she obtained her Master of Science and Certificate in Endodontics. She is a fellow in the Royal College in Dentistry as a Specialist in Endodontics in Canada, and is also certified in the United States as a Diplomate of the American Board of  Endodontics. Dr. Pesun is a past president of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics, and has been on the scientific committee for the Manitoba Dental Association Annual General Meetings. She is also on the executive of the Women’s Dental Network. Dr. Pesun enjoys all aspects of endodontics. She worked in full-time private practice for 16 years and part-time at the University of Manitoba teaching endodontics before starting Prairie Endodontics with Dr. Rodrigo Sanches Cunha. In her spare time, Dr. Pesun enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons. DR. RODRIGO SANCHES CUNHA Dr. Rodrigo Sanches Cunha completed his Undergraduate Dental Degree in 1994, which he obtained from the Catholic University of Campinas in Sao Paulo - Brazil.  His post-graduate studies include a Specialty degree in Endodontics obtained in 1997 from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP); in 2002, a M.Sc. degree in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics), and in 2006, a Ph.D. degree in Dental Sciences both of which he received from Sao Leopoldo Mandic Centre for Dental Research. 
In 2011, Dr. Cunha moved with his wife (Andressa) and three daughters (Leticia, Larissa and Helena) to Winnipeg to work as a Full-time Professor at the College of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba.  Dr. Cunha became Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (Endodontics) in 2013 and, in 2016, decided to work in Private Practice full-time. Dr. Cunha joined Dr. Simona Pesun as the founders of Prairie Endodontics in 2018. Dr. Cunha has been a guest speaker at more than 200 events worldwide. Dr. Cunha has published more than 100 papers and abstracts in several peer reviewed journals and six book chapters and has extensive clinical experience obtained working in Private Practice limited to Endodontics since 1995. Dr. Cunha is a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry (ICD) and is currently the President Elect of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics (CAE). Dr. Cunha is a real Winnipeg Jets fan and enjoys watching sports, swimming and enjoying his family during his spare time.

Dr. Tim Dumore Tim Dumore, was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. James. He attended Hedges Junior High and John Taylor Collegiate. After high school, he obtained his bachelor of science and completed his dental school training at the University of Manitoba in 1991. WINNIPEG ORTHODONTIST Four years of general dental practice with the Canadian Armed Forces in Cold Lake, AB, proved to be excellent preparation for the three-year orthodontic residency Dr. Dumore served at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Dumore has practiced as an orthodontist in Winnipeg since 1998 and our office has been in its current location since September 2000. ROCKSTAR ORTHODONTIST? Dr. Dumore often thinks about being a rock star. However, he is unable to play any musical instruments and has a complete lack singing talent, so a career in music seems remote in this lifetime. As a result, he has committed himself to being an outstanding orthodontist. EXPERIENCED ORTHODONTIST Professionally, he has served with the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the Manitoba Orthodontic Society, and has acted as the chairman of the Manitoba Dental Association Annual Convention Committee. He is a co-director of the Winnipeg Progressive Dental Study Club, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club, which focuses on interdisciplinary dental care.Dr. Dumore attends numerous continuing education courses each year and his team has accused him of being a "CE junky" a title he wears proudly. To help others in their quest to become orthodontists, Dr. Dumore has been an instructor at the University of Manitoba graduate orthodontic program since 1998.Finally, Dr. Dumore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, having passed the first re-certification exam in 2008. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists (Canada). CHARITABLE ORTHODONTIST In 2012, Dr. Dumore was a member of a team of five dentists who travelled to Kampala, Uganda, to provide dental care to children at the Kamwokya Primary School. The need for dental services for these children remains high, and we hope to return in the future. Dr. Dumore is a member of the board of the Mondetta Charity Foundation. FAMILY ORTHODONTIST Dr. Dumore has been married to his wife Jennifer since July 29, 1989, a date he has inscribed inside his wedding band, so he'll never forget! They have three children—Thomas, Lucas and Danica—two dogs, and two pet rats. In his leisure time, Tim enjoys doing just about anything with his family, including time at the cottage, skiing and traveling. As well, he attempts to stay fit through training and biking, though an equal affinity for cooking and red wine don't help in that regard!Dr. Dumore is proud to be involved in the community and looks forward to meeting with you.

She continued her education at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 2012. She is a member of several dental organizations and associations, including the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry (HAD). Dr. Safa enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in dental surgery, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She strives to make her practice comfortable and inviting for all patients. In her free time, she enjoys to read, draw and travel.
